Identity verification at a crypto casino is not an event at registration. In the terms that were read it is a financial event: the request for a document appears when the money is about to leave the account, and not when it is coming in.
A verification clause could be read at 49 brands out of a hundred. This page describes where on the money's route that clause fires, what it stops while the check lasts and how few brands gave any figure in it.
Not every threshold, however, counts from a withdrawal: the provisions in which the clock starts from the sum of deposits are collected separately in thresholds counted from deposits. How much time the player has to respond once the request has come is shown by the four deadlines read in deadlines for documents. The whole route of the money is described by the page crypto casinos.
At which moment the requirement appears
Three moments emerge from the provisions read, and only the third of them is predictable for the player.
At the first withdrawal
The most common provision. The account works, the deposit goes through, play continues — and documents become a condition only at the first withdrawal order. This is how the clauses of CryptoLeo and Nine Casino are worded, among others, speaking of verification at the first withdrawal and of the possibility of repeating it later. Neither of these two brands gives a clause number alongside this provision.
Once an amount is exceeded
The rarer and the only numerical variant: the terms name a sum above which verification stops being optional. Five brands give it, listed in the next section.
At any moment, at the operator's decision
Present in all 49 clauses read, without exception. There is not a single set of terms in this group that rules out a request for a document or limits it to the situations listed.
That is the single most important observation from the whole set: the absence of a threshold does not mean the absence of a requirement.
Five thresholds that anyone wrote down as a figure
The amount above which verification is mandatory is published by five brands out of a hundred — each with a clause number of the terms.
| Brand | Threshold | Clause of the terms |
|---|---|---|
| Bitcasino.io | 2500 EUR | 6.6 |
| Sportsbet.io | 2500 EUR | 6.6 |
| Livecasino.io | 2500 EUR | 6.6 |
| Rocketpot | 2500 USD | 11.4 |
| Empire.io | 2000 USDT | 5.4 |
The thresholds are surprisingly close: four of the five fall within the range of 2000–2500 currency units. But the closeness is only apparent, because three of these provisions are in practice one provision.
Why three of the five thresholds are identical down to the clause
Bitcasino.io, Sportsbet.io and Livecasino.io have the same amount of 2500 EUR and the same clause number 6.6. Such agreement does not happen by chance — it is one set of terms serving three signs.
The licence register confirms this from the other side: Bitcasino.io and Livecasino.io appear under a single Curaçao number — OGL/2023/111/0069, checked on 26 August 2026.
There are therefore three thresholds really announced, not five: 2500 EUR in the family of three brands, 2500 USD at Rocketpot and 2000 USDT at Empire.io.
The same mechanism — one company under many signs — also governs licence numbers and lists of excluded countries. It is broken down into its parts by the page operator licences.
What happens to the balance while verification is under way
It follows from the clauses read that during the check the withdrawal is blocked, and sometimes the whole account.
Oshi Casino in clause 12 writes that documents may be required before a withdrawal is processed, that the account remains blocked until verification is completed, and that winnings may be forfeited. Bitdreams writes that a withdrawal may be held up or ended until the account is fully verified; there is no clause number alongside this provision. CryptoLeo writes that withdrawals are processed only after full verification of the account — also without a clause number.
Nine Casino puts it most broadly: verification may be demanded at the first withdrawal and at any later moment, at the casino's sole decision and without explanation. This provision has no clause number.
The block concerns the money's way out, not its way in. None of the clauses read makes acceptance of a deposit conditional on documents being supplied beforehand.
How to read a brand that writes about itself „no verification”
Some brands state outright that documents are not needed. Cloudbet and Metaspins stand on the other side: they have extensive AML policies with clause numbers — Cloudbet in clause 18.1.1, Metaspins in clause 9.7, with Metaspins speaking of a threshold without giving its level.
A marketing declaration and a clause of the terms are two different documents and they regularly say different things. CoinPoker presents itself as a place without KYC, while its responsible gaming policy reserves the right to demand documents. KatsuBet writes that play does not require account verification, but that documents may be demanded at the operator's sole decision before any payment.
The binding document is the one that governs the withdrawal — that is, the terms, not the landing page.
How much of this is really known
A verification clause was read at 49 brands out of a hundred. At the remaining 51 it could not be read: either the terms page did not open at all, or there was no such clause in the text that was read.
A clause number accompanies only some of the provisions. Where the text above says that there is no number, it means exactly that: the terms do not number that passage, so there is nothing to quote.
Forty-four brands out of those forty-nine give no threshold amount at all. Their threshold is neither zero nor infinite — it is simply unannounced, and the decision to apply it stays with the operator.
Every provision quoted above comes from an operator's terms and was copied out together with the clause number wherever that number exists in the document.
Verification is the last gate on the money's route; the second to last is the periodic limit, described on the page withdrawal limits. The whole route, from the złoty to the withdrawal, is set out on the home page.
Data read on 26 August 2026 from operators' terms and licence registers. One entry, concerning the Vave brand, was reviewed again on 2 September 2026.
